Over the seas they have sailed
To finally find the isle, Elf helm
They will slay abyssal gods, conquer the waves, break all the rocks
That will fall along their way
The broken ship reaches the dreadry shore
From a forgotten place, remnant of yore
The peasants in these menacing times
Scrutinize them, and wait for the fight
The lonely girl finds the sailor
She lost her clan in the icy meanders
And languishes her forgotten mother
She escapes the mad creatures
Over the seas they have sailed

On the huge waves of the horizon
Sails the crew for its expedition
Off the lonely and barren coasts
When it was chased by ghosts
The 27 guns thunder
And the brigands are sent from the bottom
Banished into filthy tentacles
Of a god, vile aberration

Woken up on the fateful day
Its mouth threatens to annihilate
When the warrior and his enchanted friend
Slice into the beast and pierce it to the end

And with their cheerfully rallied daughter
They leap from the water for the winning hour

The Eclipse
Struck by the revenge of a banished friendship
Buried under the rubble of the betrayal night
The king then splits the unhealthy sky
And save them from this deadly grip
Branded by the red abyss of hate
They are hunted and harassed in pain
The sleeping monster calls for revenge
When the lamb cries for sustenance
The black moon keeps the slaughter a secret
Away from reason and logic
Traumas in their tormented nightmares
But they will survive the eclipse
The beast driven mad by this cruel absence
Holds back its fangs from the last impotence
And its wife, terrified, plunged into darkness
Defends her value and her flesh
She gives birth in a surge of sadness
To her sweet child marked with a curse
Distorted by evil, despite his kindness
Who bears the pain of the universe

This has been in my wishlist for too long, primarily because I generally don’t care for symphonic pop metal, which is sort of what this is. This is an Indonesian band, but the young lady with the magical voice was classically trained at a Western university, such that she has a full command of styles and ranges, but also brings an unconventional sensibility to the table that is refreshing. The songwriting is uneven, evidence more of experimentation than anything. Check it out!

An absolute gem of an album I came across completely by accident and can't stop listening to. My personal favourite track, More Time With You, is my favourite way to remember the limited time I get with my partner in a long distance relationship. Full marks to Lark Puden for such a great first outing. Already looking forward to.any future albums by them
